Advocacy

Community and ACJ board members train and consult with counselors, students, and employers to facilitate diversity, cultural sensitivity, and mutual understanding

Attorney Committee

The organization has provided speakers, court watches, attorney case reviews, advocacy, and attorney referrals in employment discrimination cases, student harassment cases, and other cases of discrimination against APAs.

Education

ACJ is a partnering organization with New Detroit, Inc.’s Multi-Cultural Leadership Program. Each year, ACJ educates and advocates on APA culture, history, and issues to program participants.

Speaker program

Speakers are available to speak on Asian Pacific American history, culture, and issues. Board members have been invited to speak at U.S. Corps of Engineers in Detroit, Department of Community Health, Office of Aging Services, and other educational institutions
